My office is in the S.L.Loewen Natural Science Center. I live in a passive solar earth sheltered house that I designed and built in 1980. The house and 9 acres of restored prairie are used for educational tours.	I have written a book published by Chapman and Hall that details the construction of my house. Copies are available through Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, or other internet sites.
I followed a captive-reared great horned owl for over 12 years by radiotelemetry. Surprisingly, the imprinted owl survived and reproduced and still recognizes me. Amazing!!	I have written a book about my owl published by Princeton University Press. It is available in bookstores or through the internet. A home-made video or DVD about the book is also available by contacting me via email (maxt@tabor.edu).

I also do research in the ecological design of golf courses. Here I am at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas, site of the 2002 U. S. Women's Open and 2006 U. S.
