How to Live on an Island
by Sandra Gingras
6 X 6 Full-Color Hardcover
55 Pages

Item # IOP55 -- $ 12.95

With charming illustrations and common-sense, spiritual wisdom, this endearing book gently encourages us to live life on simpler terms - as if on "islandtime" whether your island is real or imaginary. It's a refreshing gift book, perfect for the coffee table, be it in your living room on the mainland or aboard your sailing boat! How to Live on an Island gives us an opportunity to reflect on the most important things - ourselves, our environment and our relationships with others in this world! Its philosophy will enchant you.

"I think that there's no truer place than an island. Whether it's a sandbar or a bubble-up or volcanic rock or a jut of tropical coral, an island stands only by some whim of fate, given a chancy foothold among the chaos. When I go to an island, I know that I'm in that state of grace in which anything can happen."

How to Live at the Beach

How to Live at the Beach
by Sandra Gingras
6 X 6 Full-Color Hardcover
56 Pages

Item # IOP56 -- $ 12.95

What is it about the beach that makes it so alluring? Why is it the place we run away to when we can, dream about when we can't, and long for when we are far removed from it? It's all about simplicity, serenity and appreciation. Through this book, we can discover and rediscover - that allure! How to Live at the Beach is a gift book that is a true gift to read, enjoy and ponder. It reminds us of the importnat things we too often forget when we become swept away with the tide of our too-busy, too-hectic lives. Like living on islandtime, or the beach itself, it offers us renewal. Each page contrasts the differences between life at the beach and the complicated, heavily structured everyday lives that most of us have. Once again, Islandtimes offers you another form of tropical escapism at its best...

"We want to elongate the days, distill the memories, make them last. At the same time, we know that the beauty is in the evanescence... Every wave comes in, then retreats. Every day promises, then turns its back and slips away. Every joy has a little tease in it, a give and a take, and leaves a wake of longing."

Island Bound

Island Bound is a tale about an ordinary person, a firefighter actually, named Eddie Gilbert. Eddie spends his days living and working in the western burbs of Chicago. Needing some time away from the weather and the work, he's planned an extended holiday. When Eddie sets off, leaving the Midwest behind for a taste of Caribbean sunshine, he never expected to get mixed up in any capers. Before returning home, he foils a robbery in Memphis, encounters a gaggle of interesting characters and overthrows a tropical crime lord's plan to kidnap a young woman and hold her for ransom...

(Each collection contains 3 cards & matching envelopes, 5 x 7 in size)

These cards are printed with a commitment to the environment, and thus made of kenaf. Kenaf is grown yearly compared to pine, which can take up to 40 years to reach harvestable size. Paper is made from the kenaf stalk, so insecticides are not needed to protect the fruit or the flower. No chlorine is used to bleach tree-free paper, which means no harmful dioxins are released into the air. These cards are 60% tree-free and we hope to be 100% tree-free in the very near future. Tree-Free greeting cards are a simple solution for a complicated world... and remember... "Behind every good card is a great envelope." Each & every card has a complementary design on the inside and is blank, allowing room for your own expressions, but is complete with a fully designed matching envelope!
