I John Worley of Halifax County North Carolina being very sick but in my proper senses and right mind but calling to mind the mortality of man, I hereby give up my body to (be) buried after a descent manner and my soul to God who gave it. further as to my goods, chattels and lands I desire all my just debts paid and after this would wish to dispose of my Estate as follows, to wit, I give to my son Lovick Worley all my lands I possess on the east side of Hazelnut Branch. I give unto my Grand Daughters Elizabeth and Anne Worley one feather bed and furniture, two woolen wheels and two pair of cards and a linen wheel to be equally divided between them. I also give unto my daughter Mary Moore one half of the land I now live on to take all the South side of my Spring Branch and the balance until she gets half she is to take on the North side of my plantation on the back line. Also I give to my son John Worley the other half of my land I live on when he comes of age and also one half of the rent of the said land until he comes of age. I also give unto my daughter Sarah Worley my stock of all kinds and household goods except ten Ewes and Lambs I give to my two Grand Daughters Elizabeth and Anne Worley. Any crop I desire it may be sold to support the two youngest children on, to wit, Sarah and John. I also give unto my son Joseph Worley and Robert five shillings a piece. I also give unto my daughter Sarah the other half of the rent of my land until my son John is of age and if the said son John should deceased before he comes of age I leave his part of land to my daughter Sarah, this being my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this 23rd October 1794.

February Session 1795 then this will was exhibited in open court and duly heard by the oath of Joseph Williams one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and as motion ordered to be recorded: Whereupon Mariott Davis one of the Executors in the said will named came in and has duly qualified thereto.
