1724/25- John Worley, Jr. served on jury at Council at Edenton.

1726 & 1728- John Worley, Jr. appointed justice of the peace for the precincts of Beauford and Hyde

1735- Mar 23- John Worley, Jr. appointed justice of Tyrrell precinct.

1740- 2 Aug 1740. John Stephney, Jacob Blount & Thomas Pierce were bonded for arbitration 2 Aug 1740. There was a dispute between John Worley of Tyrrell Co. & Thomas Norcomb of Perquimans Co. "Concerning Divours Assaults Betterys and Trespasses"; also a dispute over over a "young molatte wench named Hope," a horse, a cow, a yearling & and a gold ring now in possession of sd John Worley which sd Thomas Norcom claims. The arbitrators found that John Norcomb son of Thomas Norcomb, Jr. had a gold ring & after his decease the person who brought up the child to hvae sd ring if he die a minor. Th sd livestock to remain in the hands of John Worley as his own property & the infant John Norcomb son of Thomas Norcomb Jr. to have the mulatto girl, but if he die in his minority then sd Worley to pay to Thomas Norcomb & keep sd girl Hope, but otherwise deliver her to sd Thomas Norcomb who must pay a designated amount. Sd Worley to keep the girl in his possession & to bring up & educate sd Norcomb. Wit: William Wyatt, Thos. Leary. Recorded 3 Sep 1740 1740.
