1704- Deed - Chowan - John Worley - from George Slade, 3/21/1704-1705 "assignment of ye within Track of Land".

1707- John Worley in a suit with Mary Blount. [Chowan & Tyrrell County NC Records]

1714- Patent - Chowan - John Worley - 155 acres - being ye Beech Neck adjoining to ye Middle Neck swamp on ye South Shore of Chowan, joining ye swamp.

1715 July 18. Susannah Harrison, Alb, to Zachery Jurkin, letter of attorney to ack unto Captain John Worley a tract of land joining to ye land that was Thomas Cooper's. Wit: John Simpson, Henry Clark. Reg 10 Sept 1715. [Hofmann, Chowan Deeds #731, from Chowan DB AB #1, pg 152]
same day Thomas Harrison and wife Susannah sold Worley 297 acres. [Hofmann, #732 & Chowan DB AB #1, 152.]

1716- William Fryly makes a return to this Court of these following Delinquents for not working on the Road: Mr. Lee, Jacob Blount, Captain Worley, Thomas Stealey, James Hooper, Thomas Wyley, Thomas Long, James Long and Eliz. Long. [Deed Book B #1, Chowan County, NC, #1658, pp. 17-18, 18 Apr 1716]

1716- Court - Chowan Precinct - Capt. John Worley criticized because he "keeps in his house the wife of John Hawkins, she having several children contrary to law."
[John Hawkins appears to the son of Thomas Hawkins and Elizabeth Blount. Elizabeth Blount was the sister of John Blount, who was the father of Esther Blount, wife of John Worley, Jr.]

1716- Court - Chowan Precinct - Capt. John Worley was to continue to be overseer of roads in lower district and Thomas Lee to be overseer of roads in the upper district.
