Based on the evidence, there is a strong likelihood that Wiley Worley is the son of Joseph John Worley of Anson County, North Carolina. This is based on the following observations:
» The evidence indicates that our Wiley Worley was from NC.
» There is evidence that our Wiley Worley was from Anson County, NC.
» Joseph John Worley appears to have been the only Worley in Anson County, NC.
» The obituary of Sarah Worley Lashley indicates that she was born 1800, SC when Joseph was there.

The available evidence also indicates that Joseph John Worley was the son of John Worley, 3rd of Halifax County, NC. This is based on the following observations:
» The Will of John Worley, 3rd (probated in 1795) lists sons Joseph, Lovick, Robert and John.
» Joseph John Worley later appears in Chesterfield County, SC.
» A 1797 Indenture involving the land of John Worley, 3rd lists Joseph John, Lovick and Robert Worley.

Finally, the evidence indicates John Worley, 3rd of Halifax County was the son of John Worley, Jr and Esther Blount. This is based on the following observations:
» John Worley, Jr and Esther Blount left orphan sons John and Lovick.
» John Worley, 3rd also had a son named Lovick.
» Lovick appears to be a name unique to this family.

Although John Worley, Jr. is not listed in the Will of John Worley, Sr., the evidence indicates that John Worley, Jr. was the son of John Worley, Sr.:
» John Worley, Jr. deeded land "to his father John Worley"
» John Worley, Sr. deeded land to his "grandchildren" Thomas and John Worley, sons of John Worley, Jr.
