CLERK’S OFFICE ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VIRGINIA 1761 Theodorick Webb to Anthony Dibrell Book 3, Page 33 This indenture made this Twelfth Day of March in the year of Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty-one, between Theoderick Webb of the County of Albemarle of the one part and Anthony Dibrell of the county aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas the said Theoderick Webb for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds current money of Virginia to him in hand paid be the said Anthony Dibrell the receipt where is hereby acknowledged. He the said Theoderick Webb hath granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell unto the said Anthony Dibrell his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever one certan tract or parcel of land containing by estimation four hundred acres be the same more or less situate lying and being in the county of Albemarle on Walton’s fork and bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at Walton’s corner pine thence north seventy degrees west eighty-five poles to a pine. Thence north sisty-six degrees west ninety poles to pointers, thence north forty-five degrees west eighty-seven poles to two pines, thence west seventy-eight poles to pointers. Thence south two hundred and seventy poles crossing a branch and the creek to pointers, thence north eighty-eight degrees each three hundred and thirty-five poles to pointers in William Walton’s line and on the same north fifteen degrees west one thousand three hundred and twenty-one poles crossing the creek to the beginning, with all the woods, underwoods, gardens, orchards, privileges, rents, profits and appurtenances thereunto belonging, and also the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders thereof and all the estate rights and title of his the said Theodorick Webb of in and to the said parcel of land, to have and to hold the said parcel of land and all the premises above mentioned under the said Anthony Dibrell his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Theodorick Webb doth or himself his heirs and assigns warrant and defend the said land and every part or parcel thereof from the just claim or claims of any person or any persons laying claim to the same or any part or parcel thereof. In witness whereto the said Theodorick Webb hath to these presents set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written His Signed sealed and delivered At a court held for Albemarle County the 12th day of March
